Week15A: What we Learn From Google Analytics

Hello class! So what is google analytics? Well I asked the same question when I heard about it for the first time. In this blog I will talk a little based on what it is and it’s purpose for existing.   Page views. How is page views important to a business? Well I believe it’s important because it keeps track of how many people are being attracted to your posts and page. The more views you get the more audience you’re gaining. This means that people are actually interested in the content you’re posting and enjoy watching what you’re posting. These are my reasons to believe page views are important.   Engagement is also another Important thing to keep track off. I believe that the more engagement you have the more loyal customers you will have. That’s why it’s important to keep track of your engagement with your social media platforms to see who’s building loyalty with your business. This will also help you see what kind of content your clientele is engaging to the most. Convers...

Week16B: Building Out Your Strategy

Hello class. Today I will just write my rough draft on that one specific social media platform that I believe is working out for me best and has shown me results. So When I started my detailing business I started using Instagram as my social media platform to help me promote my business. This platform has been helpful and has help me get my business known. It might not be known as other businesses I seen out there but definitely did better than Facebook. If I stay consistent with it and post on a daily basis I know for a fact I can make it grow and instagram will do it’s part by making me grow as well. It’s like the day out there, consistency is key. Instagram has potential and I’ve seen it in other businesses. We just have to learn how to use it properly and learn how to use the tools it provides us. Posting on a daily basis is the ideal thing to do. My believe on that is because not only are you posting new content or new work but you’re also showing your followers that you are a rea...

Week16A: Developing your Marketing Strategy

Hello class! Today I will touch base on developing marketing strategy for a business. I will explain how I develop this strategy on my business.   So one of the social media platforms I think works best for me is Instagram. Well at least I say it based on what I’ve tried. I still have to try out the other new ones I came across while taking this class. But so far right now instagram has been doing me right. When the time comes right I will eventually take the time to try those platforms.   When it comes to tools I still have to learn several methods and tools to use. I believe knowing how to use the tools provided for each social media will make the use of the app easier and more understandable.     Each app comes with several tools to use.     They have them there for a reason. So take advantage of the and learn them. The results will come right after. This class has given me the opportunity to learn several techniques along with tools. I unfortunately did...

Week11A: Marketing with Twitter, Tik Tok, Google for Business, LinkedIn, and more

Hello class, today I will talk a bit about marketing with Tik Tok. Tik Tok is the newest social media platform I have personally used for my detailing business. When Tik Tok came out for the first time there was so many rumors of good and bad things. I remember downloading the app for business purposes only. So I hesitated on using it at first. Then I said to myself, just give it shot and see how it goes. So i did and created my first detailing video.   At first I wasn’t reaching the numbers I expected from Tik Tok. But again I thought it was because it was new and it still wasn’t being used for business purposes. I didn’t give up and I kept trying and posting. I knew I still had to learn more about it to be able to know how to use it. So I kept learning the ways and turned out hashtags have a lot to do with it as well.   Since I been learning more about hashtags I’ve come to notice that they do play an important roll in social media platforms. I feel like if hashtags didn’t e...

Week8B: Your Instagram Hashtag Use

Hello class. Today I will touch base on my Instagram hashtag use. This post will not be as long as the other ones since I have not posting on a daily basis due to my main jobs and busy life I have. What I have noticed from my previous posts I’d that the right time to posts and reach people by adding hashtags is anywhere between 9am to 9pm. I feel like people are active on social around those times and actually come across your posts. I create posts that relate to my business. So the posts will contain content showing me cleaning a car or promoting certain services. Some of the hashtags I used are #detailing, #carwash, #interiordeatiling, #exteriordetailing,    #waxing, and what not.  I learned that using hashtags does help out reach other users in the same business and also connects you with them by starting conversation through the comment section. These conversations lead to getting help or teaching most of the times. Definitely will continue to use hashtags more often....

Week8A: How to Expand Your Reach on Instagram by Using Hashtags

Welcome back guys to my blog. To I’m going to talk about a couple instagram business. I’m going to talk about how they expand their reach by using hashtags and visual media if and then they use it. So on my previous work I have talked about certain detailing pages. I have come across other new ones and honestly show the same content but in their way. The one thing I seen in similarity is that we all use hashtags to expand the reach.     Some of us use the same ones and some of us use different ones. In my case comparing my business with the ones I researched have a lot of similarities. So these businesses I researched have been replay successful with using hashtags. Detail Groove and Detailing Girl use similar hashtags like #detailing, #carwash, #swirlmarks, #detailersofinstagram and #fyp.     Of course there’s more but if I were to write down all of the ones I’ve seen I would be here writing a whole paragraph of just hashtags. So I’m only writing the common ones I s...

Week9B: Using Categories

Hello class. Today I will be touching base on using categories for your business. I will go over some thing that I believe are beneficial for my blog based on the topics I cover for my business. So I believe categories falls into organization. Reason why is because if you categorize your services it makes it’s look more clean and organized as well as understandable for your clientele.     So if your business is one of those that offers more than just one service or sales more than just one item it’s always good to keep the website looking clean, organized, and categorized. Makes it easy for the customer to browse and navigate through the website and find what they’re looking for. Now for example, me having a detailing business. It requires me to describe what each package I have to offer. I have     6 services I offer and they all offer something different. So currently I’m working on building my website and will eventually be able to use this knowledge I’m getting f...

Week17 Final Post

Hello class. So today I will be jut talking about what I learned throughout the class. Let’s begin. So when I was looking through the classes to pick one I came across this one. I wasn’t sure how I felt about social media marketing. Yes I tried it before by using Facebook and Instagram.     Did I see any results? Yes! But was it what I was expecting? No? So me not having a lot of social media experience made me think I was setting myself up for failure. But that was because I still didn’t know everything about social media. Taking this class taught me more about several social media platforms that businesses are using now a days to promote their business. Like I mentioned before, I was only using Facebook and Instagram when I first started. As I continued learning I realized there was more to social media and that social media does have potential to make a business grow. Of course social media platforms have their pros and cons but even like that their potential is still high...

Week10A: Researching Email Marketing

What’s up guys. Hope everyone is doing good and having fun with this class. Today I’m going to talk a little bit on email marketing. I will be talking mainly on why I believe it’s helpful with your business and why you should consider it.   So first things first. How often should a business send out a news letter? Well I’m my believe due to having a detailing business I believe once a month is fine due to new techniques, new products, and new information coming out. So it’s good to keep your clients or future posible clients up to date with new information that’s important to keep their vehicles well taken care off. Now we all know we have several seasons each year. Well us detailers have the techniques and products to maintain your vehicle clean and protected during each season. So talking about seasons. The rule of thumb is to wash your car every 2 weeks to maintain it clean. Reason for each season brings different kinds of weather. Spring brings rain, summer brings sun, fall bri...

Week9A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts & Webinars

Hello class! Welcome back to the blog. Today I will talk about why blogs can be important and help out your business. I will use a personal experience I went through as an example. So I hope this helps you understand a little bit more on why blogs can be helpful. Alright, I personally think it’s a good and very helpful idea to blog or podcast about your business. Reason for is because you can talk about the experiences you went through certain customers and talk about certain ways you post content and how it helped you. This kind of information tends to help followers that look up to you. For example, this is the first time I blog due to my class. But I have done certain things that can be similar to blogging. I did a couple raffles for complete detail job in the past. I had them telling me their story on why they think they should be the ones to be chosen for the raffle. I got a lot of stories and I shared only the ones that one the raffle. It was a really good experience and learned ...

Week7B: How Other Businesses Use Instagram

Welcome back to my blog. Today I will be talking about how other businesses use instagram. I will talk about how the focus, effectiveness, and similarities to my way of using instagram. Not everyone is the same. Everybody uses certain pages a different way and to the best of their benefit.   From what I saw from some classmates is a little different but similar at the same time to how I use instagram. All I can say is that everyone has a way to post and most of the time their methods or ways seem to work just fine.    When it comes down to posting just pictures, the same way is being used. I can say we add about the same information about what we are trying to say about that picture.    So every business can end up paying the same but in their way. Now from the other businesses I follow I’ve learned a lot. My way of posting is not quite the same. I still have a lot to learn and I don’t think I’m just at that level yet. When it comes to pictures though the same m...

Week7A: Get Visual with Instagram - Let a Picture or Short Video Tell the Story

Hello guys. Today I’m going to talk to you guys about my Instagram page. I get into detail with when I started it, how many followers I have, how many people I’m following, and what kind of content I post.   So to start off I’m using Facebook and Instagram media platforms at the moment. What I’ve noticed from Facebook and Instagram is they both help out reach clientele. But I believe instagram has helped me out more on getting followers compared to Facebook. On Instagram I personally have 232 followers and on Facebook I have 103 followers. I feel like instagram Is more effective than Facebook. Well at least that’s what I think based on my results but then again it can be due to the fact I haven’t been posting as much. I normally post only when I have work and have something to post. At the moment I am working on new content to be able to keep posting and attract more followers. I’m also working on learning how to use more hashtags to attract more followers. I’ve learned that hashta...

Week6B: Creating and Scheduling Facebook Posts

Image
Hello guys, today I will talk about why I chose the posts I created and scheduled. Now a days no matter how hard you try to keep your car clean it will not stay clean. A lot of us have kids or pets that we bring along with us when going out to take a cruise or go shopping. For the interior post I believe that it will bring engagement due to people wanting to get and keep their interior clean due to pets and kids. Kids can be a little messy and dogs can as well. But I also believe that no matter whether you or you don’t have kids and dogs the interior ends up getting dirty regardless. A lot of us love to keep a clean car and that’s why I’m here. To make sure I do that for you. Having a well-maintained interior keeps your cars value as well.  The other post I created and scheduled has to do with engine bay cleaning. Engine bay cleaning allows you to keep track of any little leaked that can possibly occur within time and will be easier for you or your mechanic to track down. Once agai...

Week6A: Engaging Your Customers - Facebook Stragety

Welcome back guys. Today I will talk a little bit about some businesses I chose and the reasons y along with how they post, how much engagement they get, and how they can help me and my business. Remember every business has their own way of advertising and promoting their business. We can always learn new things by following and paying attention to how they run the content they upload. So the first business I chose to follow is Arzola Graphics. I know it’s nothing similar to the business I’m running. This business actually helped me by making me shirts, decals, hats, and sweaters for my business. I like how he using his post to gain followers. Most of his posts are simple. They get straight to the point. His videos show the way his work is done. His pics show the quality of the work. The post may not be well written but like I said they get straight to the point. They show what his customers asked for. Every video and picture is interesting because there’s always something new he’s pos...

Week5B: Learning About FaceBook Data Collecting

Hello everyone and welcome back. Today I’m going to talk about the importance of Post Reach and Post Engagement, what you can learn from them, and how a business can use FaceBook Insights to better serve customers.   Let me start by saying my opinion on why Post Reach is important. Well most of us know post reach is where what you post reaches out to an audience as a post feed. If you didn’t know that now you know. So it’s important to measure post reach because it gives you a better understanding on how large your customer base is and how effective your marketing strategies are at putting your content in front of potential customers. Reach also gives you a more accurate idea of how many individual potential customers you have. Overtime you can measure how your brand awareness is growing.     So this is why post reach is important for businesses. Gotta keep in mind that there’s also a lot of fake accounts out there to that won’t be seeing your new posts and can affect you...

Week4A: Defining Target Markets

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Today I’m going to compare to business and talk about what they do to get attention and clientele. I will be talking about SUBWAY and HUNGRY BEAR DELI. Just thinking about them and doing research on them make me hungry. Fun fact about me. I was a sandwich artist for subway for about 3 yrs. Subway was actually my first job I got once I finished high school. It was a fun place to work at. I worked at 5 different subways. The one in Vista off Emerald, the one off Marron Rd in Oceanside, El Camino Real across the street from the mall, the one that used to be inside the mall in Carlsbad, and the one across the street from Oceanside high school. Anywho let me get started with the comparisons and differences I found between these two sub sandwich businesses. Demographics! How does subway use demographics? Well from the research done right off the bat subway gets right to it by the way they created their page. Subway is a world wide restaurant and co...

Week3B: Developing a Brand

Welcome back to my blog guys. Today I’m going to talk about how I developed my brand/business. So, after spending 4 years in the detailing business and painting I felt like I gained enough experience to be able to start looking into starting my own detailing/painting business. At that point I didn’t know anything about business so I knew it was going to be difficult for me to start. So I remember coming home from work one day with ideas for the business. I sat down with my ex fiancé and presented to her the ideas. Long story short she helped me get started on this business I have my guiding me through the right steps beaded on her knowledge gained by research. Yes, while I worked my 8 hrs shifts she’d be at home researching what I had to do to get started. Sadly it didn’t work out for both of us but I still give credit where credit is due. Anyways let’s get into what I did to develop the business. First things first. Come up with a name. In my case it was kind of hard to find a name. R...

Week3A: Aesthetics, Design, and Branding

What’s up everyone. Welcome to my blog. Today I did some research on four different websites. I chose 2 websites that I thought were poorly designed and 2 that I thought were very easily to deal with according to how organized and well designed they were. So I’ll be giving you guys my thoughts and opinions on how the 2 poorly designed websites can be better and how easy it is to handle a well designed website. Let’s start! So! First website I want to talk about is  https://best-electronics-ca.com . I believe this website is is poorly designed because it’s literally unorganized. When you bread “ best electronics “ on the url I’m sure you’re expecting to see pictures of the electronics with prices and a description of each item. Well on this website you don’t get that. All you get is a lot of writing and doesn’t have sections of certain items. Literally a scrambled egg. I literally got lazy to read everything. All I did was scroll down until I hit the bottom. I feel like if the owner...

PS1 Car Detailing Estética Automotriz http://ps1detailing.com 3. Detailing Girl  https://instagram.com/detailing_girl 4. Lumidetailig              https://lumidetailing.com 5. We Come To You Detailing https://wecometoyoudetailing.com Detail Groove  - Small Business Detail Groove started off as a mobile detailing. Based on the information found, the owner of this company started with no experience and learned as he worked on family and personal cars. Within time all the techniques and skills were achieved and managed to grow enough to be able to open a small shop. Detail Groove is located in Texas and is a business that focuses on detailing cars and also on making tutorial videos to help out the rookies out there trying to start a detailing business.  Social media I found being use...
