Week2B: Business Research

Hello everyone and welcome back. Today I did research on 5 different automotive detailing businesses.

Detail Groove - Small Business

Detail Groove started off as a mobile detailing. Based on the information found, the owner of this company started with no experience and learned as he worked on family and personal cars. Within time all the techniques and skills were achieved and managed to grow enough to be able to open a small shop. Detail Groove is located in Texas and is a business that focuses on detailing cars and also on making tutorial videos to help out the rookies out there trying to start a detailing business. 


Social media I found being used is Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. A podcast was also found.  Instagram has 43.7k followers and has daily posts. The last post was September 6 2022.YouTube has 157k subscribers and uses it daily as well by uploading videos of the work he did and how he did it. The las post was September 5 2022. The podcast has 117 ratings with a 4.8 out of 5 stars rating and the last post was September 1st of 2022. 



PS1 Car Detailing Estética Automotriz- Small Business 

PS1 Car Detailing is a business that started from their own home garage. Within time of hard work and dedication, growth increased and lead them to opening their own shop. The shop is small making it a small business located In the city of Buenos Aires making it a not local shop.  Based on the research this company focuses on providing the best quality detailing service for your vehicle by offering a variety of detailing packages. 


PS1 Car Detailing has a website where you can schedule appointments and see some of the packages they offer along with work they have done. They also use Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Instagram has 834 followers and they post monthly. Last post was September 6 2022. Facebook has 134 followers and their last post was July 16 2022. Now YouTube has 14 subscribers and the third last post was 5 years ago showing us that YouTube wasn’t their strongest platform. Wow! I’m surprised. Clearly they stopped or it just didn’t work out for them and decided to try another platform and saw better results.



Detailing Girl - Small Business 

There isn’t very much information found from this business. The business might have a different name but wasn’t able to confirm. I can’t really specify on how she started but what I can say is that she dedicates in detailing high end cars. Her page on instagram caught my attention because she’s a woman and she’s detailing cars. Specially the high end ones. To me that’s amazing because not many women out there enjoy washing or cleaning their car. No disrespect to the ladies out there. Anywho she uses her page for personal and business and seems to be doing fine. She shows her ways of getting the work done and what not. The business is located in Netherlands and looks like she has a small successful business.


The only social media found was Instagram with 134k followers. The last post was on September 6 2022 and seems like she posts on a daily basis.



Lumidetailing - Small Business 

Lumidetailing has a shop located in Lake Zurich, Illinois making it a not local business. Lumidetailing focuses on targeting those that appreciate their ride and love having a clean car everyday. I noticed they promote their business by showing steps on the process of the service and promoting the chemicals being used. Reminds me of a couple drafts I found of me trying to do the same for my business. I guess it’s true when they say great minds think alike. 


Once again we run into Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube being used to promote the business. Facebook has 1.5k followers and the last post was on September 3 2022. Instagram has 41.4K and the last post was on September 5 2022. YouTube has 28 subscriber and the last post was 2 years ago making it the least being used. Some platforms just don’t work for some businesses.



We Come To You Detailing - Small Mobile Business 

This mobile business is being fun in Lacey Washington. Making it a non local business. Being a mobile detailer requires you to drive around to peoples homes or jobs to get their car done and that’s exactly what this business does. I mean the name says it all.  I noticed that it’s a little bit different when it comes down to mobile and shop businesses. This business provides the same quality details as a shop would and they focus on attention to detail due to working out doors most of the time. 


During the research process only instagram was found as their social media platform. Seems to me like they either didn’t like any other platform or haven’t had the time to mess around with other social media to see how it goes. Instagram has 953 followers and the last post was September 6 2022. They post daily and hourly. Based on the numbers it looks like they barely started the business and they’re still working on promoting. Anywho instagram seems to be helping out.



Over all while I was doing my research for these 5 businesses I realized that at least these 5 businesses use the same techniques on their work but in their own way. I also realized that Instagram and Facebook were the social media platforms that worked out the most for many. Some businesses use it to teach u while others use it to promote their business. This being said, today I learned that these 5 businesses do the same type of work and use the same tools, chemicals, and supplies but, perform the job in their own ways. They all used social media to advertise their work by adding pictures, videos, or even tutorials to show the steps of the quality work being performed on your car. The communication between the customer is there and they all seemed to be responsive.

Week1B: Social Media Use Today

Hello everyone! So my thoughts on social media are simple. I feel like it will be the future of every business out there. Social media is actually a powerful tool to use for marketing but, it does have its pros and cons. Now a days everyone in this world uses social media for everything. When I say everything I mean everything. I feel like the pros would be that if u use it for business it helps u reach a lot of views all over the world to get known and grow. Now if u use it for personal it helps you keep in touch with close friends and family that aren’t close to your home. The cons I’ve seen are that your social media profiles are always at risk of getting hacked and if you use it for personal it will bring you drama one way or another haha. I speak from experience.   I see Facebook and InstaGram being used more in a business way. Now a days both platforms allow you to use it for personal and business which is cool. Week2A: Write A Positive Comment

So today I chose to write a comment or review I should say on Dr. Peggy’s Dental. I didn’t do it because it’s my favorite place. I did it because it’s the most recent service I’ve had from them. I wrote about the experience I had with them. Keep in mind it was my first time with them. I was in there for a deep cleaning and turned out to be more than that. Long story short I had to get 3 wisdom teeth removed and they had to do some bone harvesting plus add a crown.     They had to reschedule me due to some accident and they went out of their way to get me in on a Saturday to get the work done on me. Keep in mind they don’t open weekends. That helped me not miss work again during the week. The service was outstanding and they treat you very good. Based on my experience, I would really recommend Dr. Peggy’s Dental to friends and family. Dr. Peggy and her staff take really good care of you and always have an answer for your question. They truly make their clients their number 1 priority.
